The Value Engineering & Pricing team at Vestas Northern and Central Europe supports sales teams and product management by identifying and unlocking value opportunities within customers’ wind and renewable energy projects. By translating these opportunities into tangible customer value, the team helps solidify Vestas’ competitive position in the market.
Operating at the intersection of commercial strategy and technical insight, the team collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the Vestas value chain. Their work spans both day-to-day sales transactions and long-term strategic initiatives, focusing on value identification, creation, communication, and capture.
Reporting directly to the SVP of WTG Sales Management & Key Account Management, the Head of Value Engineering & Pricing serves as a key strategic partner to the sales organization. This role is responsible for analyzing, shaping, and optimizing Vestas’ value proposition and go-to-market strategies across Northern and Central Europe.
Responsibilities
As Head of Value Engineering & Pricing, your core responsibilities will include
• Team leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of value engineering and pricing professionals. Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
• Commercial strategy: Shape and refine Vestas’ value proposition through data-driven insights into customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
• Deal optimisation support: Partner with sales teams to structure and optimize commercial offers, ensuring alignment with customer value drivers and internal profitability targets.
• Market Intelligence: Analyse renewable energy auctions, competitor strategies, and pricing trends to inform go-to-market strategies and capture plans.
• Product roadmap: Deliver commercial and competitor analysis and recommendations to product strategy roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
• Executive advisory: Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior management on pricing, value creation, and commercial risk.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work across engineering, finance, product management, service, and sales to align technical and commercial levers in support of business objectives.
Qualifications
• A Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 5- 8 years of experience in strategic pricing, project financial optimization and derisking, and commercial strategy—ideally within the energy, renewables, or infrastructure sectors.
• Experience in management consulting or working within a complex, matrixed, multinational organization is highly beneficial.

• Analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable commercial strategies.
• Effective at liaising and involving stakeholders across different functions, cultures, and locations.
• Deep understanding of project economics and value drivers throughout the lifecycle of capital-intensive industries.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluency in English language, written and spoken.

Additional information
