The Reporting & Analytics (R&A) Centre of Excellence is a global function in Finance responsible for enabling data-driven performance management and decision-making across Vestas. The CoE brings together business-facing analytics, governance and definitions, analytics engineering, and operations into a single, integrated operating model. Its purpose is to create a scalable, standardised, and high-quality analytics environment that delivers “one version of the truth” across Vestas. The R&A CoE works closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Digital to translate business needs into analytics products, while ensuring consistency in data definitions, efficient delivery, and modern engineering practices. By combining subject matter knowledge, technical capability, and operational excellence, the CoE plays a critical role in improving performance transparency, accelerating decision-making, and reducing manual reporting across the enterprise.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to the development of analytical solutions, including presentation layers with data visualizations, semantic layers, and core analytical data models that support business decision-making. As part of the Analytics Engineering pillar, you will play a key role in building and delivering scalable analytics products.

  • Design and develop analytical solutions, including dashboards, semantic layers, and data models.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into effective analytics solutions. Work cross-functionally with domain experts, governance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of analytics data architecture.
  • Develop and enhance the core layers of analytical solutions (data models, semantic and presentation layers).
  • Maintain, optimize, and continuously improve existing data models and analytics solutions.
  • Support the rollout of analytics solutions, including validation, testing, documentation, and training.
  • Drive performance optimization and efficient maintenance of analytics products.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field, with a preference for specialisation in data analytics or data modelling.
  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience in designing and building analytical solutions
  • Interest in understanding business processes and domain concepts. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into effective analytical solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)
  • Expertise in data modelling and proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI
  • Exposure to predictive modelling is considered an advantage
