Senior Manager, Operations - Service

Sales/SBU AME/North America Services

Oversees the leadership, management, execution / performance and overall achievement of a large, complex wind turbine service site or multiple wind turbine service sites for 500+ wind turbine generators and an organization of 100+ employees. Individual will work closely with Sr. Leadership team within the Vestas Corporate office.

 

Responsibilities

· Guides and directs business unit activities through Regional Site Managers; coaches and mentors Managers; provides leadership in solving service, warranty, customer and other management issues.

· Establishes and is accountable for the Americas service site budget and P&L.

· Effectively anticipates potential issues, questions assumptions, and identifies opportunities to circumvent delays.

· Ensures that regions are staffed appropriately with the appropriate resources.

· Ensures all service site employees conform to the organization’s establishes policies and goals.

· Ensures all regional and business service status information is communicated to senior management.

· Interacts directly with customers to answer questions, resolve customer relations issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent.

· 10+ years management experience with maintenance/service as well as customer relations background, in the wind, power or heavy capital equipment industries.

· Solid ability to work effectively with work groups across the organization.

· Solid management experience, including the ability to set and organize large budgets and resources, for example in large industrial or construction environments.

· Good understanding of the financial impact of decisions with respect to budgets, contracts and organization milestones.

· Good investigative, communication and management skills with a customer service focus.

· Proven ability to build customer relationship and effectively negotiate with customers and contractors to resolve disputes.

Makes recommendations and champions improving area work processes.

Additional Information
This position is in the state of Oklahoma and requires up to 75% travel.
