Site Supervisor - Waterloo Wind Farm

Vestas is currently seeking a Site Supervisor for the Waterloo Wind Farm in South Australia’s Mid North. As Site Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the site’s 43 wind turbines and the team of technicians that are based on-site.

  • Reporting to the Vestas Area Service Manager, you will be responsible for the following;
  • Promoting a Safe working culture on the site and living the Vestas Safety values 
  • Ensure all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements for the site are maintained and complied with
  • Management of all on site activities, reporting to all key stakeholders (external and internal) and maintaining site KPIs (Availability, LPF, costs and service schedule) 
  • Maintaining all staff training requirements and ensure training competencies are always current 
  • Maintain and ensure Verification of Competencies for all Site Staff and contractors utilised Site
  • Planning and preparation of site work rosters and schedules, manage and update in SAP
  • Management of all staff and contractors on site ensuring work performed is safe, efficient and to the correct standard
  • Preparing site annual budgets and managing costs within budget 
  • Conducting daily management board (LEAN) meetings, weekly toolbox and any other activities with site staff
  • Review and approving time sheets, expense reports, leave/overtime and travel requests for all site staff
  • Management and oversight of all contracted service providers that will be utilised on site
  • Provide site induction to all people attending site



  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (essential)



  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing teams 
  • Demonstrated experience with service contract management 
  • Demonstrated experience in long- and short-term planning of works on a busy site
  • Demonstrated experience of asset maintenance operations, leading by example and 5S/LEAN principles (6Sigma an advantage)
  • Understanding and experience of High Voltage Sub Station maintenance (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent Computer literacy and skills (especially in SAP and Microsoft suite of software) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and dealing with customers

Additional information

  • Primary work location: Waterloo, South Australia (30 Km's from Clare and 9 Km's East of Manoora in South Australia), 5 days a week.
