The sub module Blade Transport is part of the Blades R&D function in Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO). We focus on developing innovative transport solutions for Vestas' blades. VTO R&D is the business unit where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, maintained and tested. We operate on a global scale with more than 3,500 employees.

The team collaborates closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure the seamless integration of transport solutions that meet project requirements and timelines. The department is focused on enhancing Vestas' transportability to our customer's remote sites through advanced transport solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and development of transport solutions for blade projects
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of transport solutions
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed transport solutions
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure efficient project completion
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns

Qualifications

• Bachelor / Master's in Mechanical / Similar specialization 
• Practical experience in transport solution design within the wind energy sector
• Proficient project management and leadership skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to transport solutions
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for transport solution design
