Repair, Lifecycle and Field Operations > Repair & Lifecycle Operations Partner > Production Engineering Support

 

Repair & Lifecycle Operations Partner department is focused from receiving the defective (DEF) items in the system and move the items towards the repair site/vendor to enable the repair of the item. The Repaired (REN) item will be then worked with service order creator for consumption. The major tasks revolve around the reverse supply chain on coordination from the turbine sites to warehouse then to repair warehouse. The Team also support repair factories in tool design and Master data and Production Engineering activities for Global Repairs and Repair in regions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creating Problem Report (PR) and Change Notice (CN) in our Windchill PDM link tool
  • Analyze and support on BoM - Creation, modification, and maintenance
  • Perform changes on existing BoM master data, in our SAP ERP System
  • Investigate problems, analyze root causes, and derive solutions with respect to repair and assembly BOMs
  • Implement Cost Reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards
  • Create and maintain process and procedure descriptions/instructions
  • Create drawings for smaller tools and perform strength analysis on larger support tools
  • This also includes creation of tools manuals or CE documentation VT numbers and RWIs
  • Give Support to our repair facilities across the world and assist in various repair development projects
  • Preparation of documentation for knowledge transfers
  • Develop best practices to improve production quality, capacity, and reliability
  • Mentors and trains junior and mid-level team members
  • Leads initiatives, projects, or workstreams independently
  • Supports master data-related system implementations and migrations, manages change requests and impact assessments, and ensures smooth transition during business or system changes

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 4 - 6 years in engineering support experience in Engineering change management , and Product Lifecycle management
  • Hands on experience supporting repair BOMs, service parts, and as maintained configurations is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of hands on experience in PLM and ERP systems, specifically PTC Windchill and SAP, is mandatory
  • Wind Turbine Components & Technical Knowledge is preferred to understand/execute the repair activity
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Access
