Vestas Power Solutions is the R&D function of Vestas. Through innovation, development and continuous improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. Within Vestas Power Solution business unit, the department Control Hardware Module is responsible for the

design and development of Low Voltage control panels and the control system across various sections of Wind Turbine. Control Hardware module is inclusive of several submodules explicit to each section of Wind Turbine. Control Hardware Module: Quality & LCM is a part of ACE organization in Vestas Power Solutions (Vestas R&D). Vestas Power Solutions is a business unit where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, maintained and tested. Vestas Power Solutions

operates on a global scale with more than 2,100 employees. You will be part of Quality sub module and responsible for Quality improvement projects, Continuous Improvement Projects, LPF Projects and Closed loop quality in design through DMAIC, DFMEA usage and other related tools.

 

Responsibilities

  • Implementing Quality Management Systems:
    • Develop and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with standards
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of QMS processes and procedures
  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis:
    • Investigate quality issues and defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
    • Use methodologies like Six Sigma, 5 Whys, or Fishbone Diagrams to identify and resolve quality problems
  • Driving Continuous Improvement:
    • Develop continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction
    • Utilize tools such as Lean, Kaizen, and Total Quality Management (TQM)
  • Aligning with Stakeholders:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, supply chain, and customer service, to ensure alignment on quality standards
    • Communicate quality standards, procedures, and expectations to stakeholders to foster a shared understanding and commitment
  • Training and Development:
    • Develop and deliver training programs on quality standards, procedures, and tools to employees at all levels
    • Mentor and support team members in understanding and implementing quality practices
  • Quality Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality performance
    • Prepare regular reports on quality metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives for management review
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, and audit reports
    • Ensure that quality records are accessible and compliant with regulatory requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical/Quality Management/Industrail/Manufacturing/Similar engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in driving CLQ and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Certification in Six sigma Black belt certification is good to have
