The objective of Digital Solutions is to digitally transform Vestas to enable stronger customer focus, scalability and profitability. Digital Solutions are responsible for improving IT efficiency, integrate digital solutions further into its customer offering, improve employees' digital experience and support core processes across the value chain. Digital Product Lifecycle, part of Digital Solutions, is accountable for digital solutions within the area of Industry 4.0 and Product Lifecycle Management - from management of master data to utilization of extended reality, simulation and configuration tools, and Industrial IoT. As Siemens Engineer, you will be part of a new chapter working with solutions within the Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite, and be a part of the Value Chain Simulation Tools-product team. Working closely with the product team you will be accountable for developing and supporting high quality simulation solutions and thereby actively participate in the digital transformation in Vestas. The chapter is managed out of Chennai in India, but where you reside is secondary.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Area Architects/Product Architects/Lead Engineers & Engineers on technical roadmaps and solution development
- Collaborate with Product Owner and Product Architect on defining roadmaps, deliverables and timelines
- Architect, develop, customize and implement customizations related to Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite
- Create technical documentation, including design specifications, API docs, user guides to ensure proper understanding and usage of the Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite
- Perform unit/smoke/functional testing, prepare test cases, and demonstrate solutions to stakeholders
- Participate in system testing and quality assurance activities to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability
- Assisting in system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities related to the Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite
- Debugging the technical issues in the Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite
Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree within Engineering, IT or relevant education
- Minimum 8 year of general experience in the Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing suite including Siemens Technomatix Tools)
- Minimum 5 year of development experience with strong knowledge within the area of development, customization, testing and implementation
- Experience with ITSM (Support) is an advantage
- Experience with PTC Windchill is an advantage
- Experience with FlexSIM is a benefit
- Experience with API/Interface development is an advantage (API/OOTB/Custom Build) -> Siemens Teamcenter/PTC Winchill/SAP/Apriso
- Experience with conversion and management of large CAD Models/Datasets in simulation contexts is an advantage
- Relevant certification is an advantage

- Proficiency, primarily, in configuring and customizing Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite and Siemens Technomatix
- Motivated, open-minded, and willing to learn
- Know-how to apply design and testing methods and tools
- Know-how to apply agile practices
- Diligent to deliver good quality code, documentation and manage repository
