Aerodynamic & Mechanical > Tower Module > Tower Project Management

 

Tower Module is a department part of Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) responsible for research, design, and development of the wind turbines' tower products. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvements, we continuously develop our products and technologies to reduce the cost and ensure integration of renewable energy. Always aiming to deliver the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinated, implemented, and controlled the project plans/schedules according to Project Mandates, approved Project Initiation Documents and Vestas Governance
  • Drive, facilitate, and document planning sessions independently
  • Deliver line of sight for the Project Managers (incl. interdependencies/impact, critical paths, S-curves, etc.)
  • Gather actual data, update project schedules, and develop accurate schedule forecasts
  • Evaluate and identify risks and issues compromising project schedules and develop plans to mitigate them
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and escalate when necessary
  • Support, experience, and give input on the delivery of agreed project results within the tolerances for scope, quality, time,cost, risks, and benefits
  • Expert in Microsoft Projects / Excel, Power BI
  • Good Experience in JIRA

 

Qualifications

  • Master's / Bachelor's in Project Management / Electrical / Mechanical / Any engineering specialization
  • 5 years of pragmatic experience as a dedicated Project Planner
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Know-how from a heavy engineering industry (e.g. energy industry, car manufacturing industry, shipyard industry, construction industry, etc.)
  • Experienced user of project planning tools

  • You have good communication skills targeting the relevant audience in the organization, across cultures
  • You are well organized and disciplined in developing projects, with proficiency in English
  • You have good understanding of budgeting and why maintenance of project data is important to keep transparency
  • You are good and outgoing personality, with great sense of responsibility
  • You take joint responsibility for our project team's performance, responsibility for your decisions and speak up when facing challenges and issues
  • You communicate upwards, outwards, and downwards in an open, direct, and honest way to ensure full transparency and alignment
  • You approach our projects with curiosity and monitor them diligently
