Global Tools department is operating six Tool Warehouses in different countries globally and Tools Region APC IN is one of them. India Tools warehouse is supplying Installation & Commissioning tools to Project department; Operation & Maintenance tools to Service department. Our aim is to deliver qualified tools to our stakeholder to operate the Construction & Service activity safer, smarter & better way and to be sustaining Vestas a global leader in wind energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the tools and tackles supply chain to meet project requirements efficiently.
- Forecast demand, optimize inventory, and align planning with construction and service operations.
- Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and timely deliveries.
- Improve hassle free import and export of used Tools in and out of India
- Initiate Rental export and reimport back to india through rental agreement with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory standards for tools and logistics.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to streamline procurement and distribution.
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing planning and logistics team.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks in supply chain disruptions.
- Manage budget allocation and control costs within the logistics and planning functions.
- Drive initiatives for sustainability, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Establish centralized governance for tools supply chain operations.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure process compliance and continuous improvement.
- Implement digital tools and technology to enhance planning accuracy and logistics visibility.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in supply chain and logistics, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
- Certifications such as CSCP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
- Strong technical skills in SAP, WMS, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Experience in industries like construction, energy, or wind operations preferred.
- Willingness to travel and manage international and domestic logistics.
