Digital Engineering & Product Lifecyle is a part of Digital Solution, and accountable for developing and managing digital solutions within the area of Industry 4.0 and Product Life Cycle Management - from management of master data to utilization of extended reality, simulation and configuration tools, and Industrial IoT. PTC Products is responsible for developing and managing digital solutions within PLM-suite of PTC. You will engage in a distributed team following SCRUM framework and a product increment strategy.

In the role as SLM-Architect, you develop and support the product team working with Digital Document Management Tools. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand and define the business requirement and use cases related to the Product Information authoring, management, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business teams, product, and platform teams to gather requirements.
  • Transform the Business requirement to the Functional Requirements, System Use case and Non-Functional requirements in the PTC SLM platform.
  • Architect and design the solution using the PTC SLM / Windchill Platform - Arbortext and Hyper STE, CREO Illustrate, Windchill SIM, Windchill ESI, Windchill PDMLink, ACD (ArborText Content Delivery)
  • Should implement the industry standard technical and standard architecture principles considering scalability, performance, maintainability, and security.
  • Creation of Solution Design/Architecture document, Functional Specification documents and requirement traceability matrix.
  • Define the Functional Test cases, Regression Test case and User Acceptance Test cases.
  • Creation of POC and Prototype on the solution design using the Arbortext/Windchill SIM/ACD.
  • Develop the implementation plan working with the required stakeholders for the solutions to be implemented in the PTC SLM and ACD platform.
  • Guide the development team during the implementation of the solution and brige the business team with the technical team.
  • Develop the solution using the PTC SLM Platform in the required basis.
  • Debug the technical issues in PTC SLM Platform - Arbortext and Hyper STE, CREO Illustrate, Windchill SIM, Windchill ESI, Windchill PDMLink, ACD.
  • Work on the updating the necessary Product Backlog Items (EPIC / Features / User Stories).

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or master's degree within Engineering, or relevant education
  • 10+ years of experience within PTC Windchill. In that minimum 3 end-to-end Windchill PLM implementations in a Solution Architect role. - In depth knowledge on the Windchill Service Information Manager (SIM) and its data model, Managing the Arbortext Content using the Windchill SIM, Illustration data management in Windchill
  • Working knowlege in Arbortext Content Delivery (Formerly InService)
  • Significant knowledge of Windchill PLM software, including technical solution definition, configuration, and customization
  • Experience with additional solutions like ESI, Connected Work Cell etc.
  • Knowledge of architecture design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Experience with agile, DevOps and SCRUM is a benefit
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively at all leves within the organisation.
  • development experience with significant knowledge on Technical Architecture and Frameworks
  • Strong Proficiency in JAVA programming languages within Windchill SIM and dynamic documents
  • Knowledge of Arbortext Styler, Arbortext Editor authoring stylesheet, DITA XML, Document management
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is advantage
  • Agile (SCRUM) knowledge is an added value
  • Understanding of modularized complex product structures and product configuration

  •  Proficiency in configuring and customizing Windchill
  • Experience with Java
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Eclipse, Postman, SQL Developer etc
