Global Service Operations > One Tool Unit > Tools Region APC IN

 

The One Tools Department operates Seven Tool Warehouses in different countries worldwide, with Tools Region APC IN being one of them. The Chennai One Tool Warehouse Operations Department is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of materials to support business operations. The department ensures inventory accuracy, material availability, workplace safety, and compliance with company standards. Material Handlers play a critical role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations through the operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), material movements, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other authorized Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently
  • Perform loading, unloading, stacking, picking, and put-away activities
  • Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections and daily safety checks for forklifts and MHE
  • Monitor and report equipment abnormalities through the AME (Asset Management Equipment) system
  • Assist in crane rigging activities and ensure safe lifting practices
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards within assigned work areas
  • Follow FIFO, FEFO, and inventory control processes as applicable
  • Support inbound and outbound warehouse operations according to standard operating procedures
  • Report near misses, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately
  • Ensure materials are stored and handled without damage
  • Support periodic inventory counting and stock verification activities
  • Participate in safety training, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma, or equivalent qualification
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certification( Training & Competency Certificate)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations and forklift handling
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and material handling
  • Knowledge of crane rigging and lifting operations is an advantage
  • Understanding of warehouse safety standards and industrial regulations
  • Experience working with SAP or Warehouse Management Systems is preferred as additional
