Power Solutions is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested and improved. To put it short, we in Vestas Power Solutions are the cornerstone of Vestas - we are shaping the future of modern products. You will be part of the Continuous Improvement Management (CIM) department that operates across Vestas value chain, external suppliers and partners, growing multi-disciplined and cross-functional projects primarily related to product improvement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Investigate failures reported from turbines in field by collaborating with site technicians and design engineers
  • Drive root-cause analysis and identify impact on fleet
  • Make alignment with all affected stakeholders like: Module owners, service, Construction, legal, finance etc
  • Dialogue with the supplier/ manufacturer of the affected component
  • Identify short and long-term actions to reduce effect of failure
  • Support development of improvement solution. Testing specifications for solution
  • Prepare inputs for customer and stakeholder communication
  • Prepare inputs for Business Case
  • Initiate creation of necessary Design Change Orders and update DFMEA

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master's in Mechanical / Aeronautical / Automotive / Similar specialization with 10+ years of industry experience
  • Hands on experience with Composite parts and Blades will be preferred.
  • Field experience in Wind Industry especially with Vestas WTGs will be preferred
  • Experience with DMAIC improvement cycle, 6-Sigma, SCRUM and gate models would be a value-added aspect.
  • Exposure to multi-culture and international organization is desired

 

Competencies

  • Knowledge in working with Engineering drawings.
  • Usage of CAD tools and SAP
  • Good communicator - verbal and in written
  • Fluent in English - written and oral
  • Good analytical skills are required
  • Self-motivated and target focused - proactive and enthusiastic with good attention to detail and willingness to take ownership
  • Exposure in JIRA is advantageous
