The APAC Technical Operations and Performance function is responsible for maximizing wind turbine performance, reliability, and operational efficiency across onshore and offshore fleets. The department supports data-led decision-making using key performance indicators such as Loss Production Factor (LPF), availability, and response times to identify performance gaps and implement sustainable improvements. The team plays a critical role in CIM Upgrade Execution management, Asset Fault Response (AFR), and lifecycle optimization across multiple turbine platforms, ensuring high asset productivity, reduced costs, and improved fleet reliability across the region.
Responsibilities
- Manage turbine performance and reliability across APAC wind assets.
- Track and analyze KPIs including LPF, availability, and L2 response time for remote troubleshooting.
- Monitor performance trends to early identify degradation patterns.
- Identify underperforming sites, turbine platforms, and components contributing to productivity losses.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve chronic and critical technical issues.
- Own and manage execution of corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with Life cycle engineering, and service teams.
- Oversee performance across all turbine platforms with in APAC
- Deliver platform-wise insights and define targeted improvement strategies based on analytics.
- CIM upgrade execution management across APAC, ensuring zero delays and disciplined execution.
- Provide Level 2 technical support within the Asset Fault Response (AFR) framework and improve remote troubleshooting success rates.
- Ensure proactive and safety-related CIM cases are completed on time with no overdue backlog.
- Monitor CIM financial performance including budgeting, spillover control, and cost overruns, with structured escalation where required.
- Support cost-out initiatives to reduce direct cost per MW and improve operational efficiency.
- Support lifecycle management strategies for both aging and new turbine platforms.
- Partner with regional service teams, site management, and global engineering functions to deliver performance improvements.
- Present performance insights, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of operational and CIM data reporting systems.
- Promote standardization, best practices, and lessons learned across the APAC region.
- Identify operational and CIM-related risks and support cross-functional mitigation planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, or related discipline).
- 15-18 years of experience in wind energy, turbine operations, asset performance, or reliability engineering.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical operations or performance functions at a regional or multi-site level.
- Extensive knowledge of turbine performance monitoring, failure modes, and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience in offshore or onshore wind operations across multiple turbine platforms.
- Familiarity with CIM frameworks and asset fault response processes.
- Practical experience using data analytics tools such as Power BI, Excel, or similar platform

Your primary location will be in Chennai, India
This role level remains flexible, depending on the candidate’s capabilities and suitability, and can be structured as Manager or Lead Manager
