Parts & MDM Support Under Service Product Lifecycle management is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of the parts and Technical specs used in Wind turbines, which are maintained via active service contracts. Moreover, the department enables geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary, teams to strategically collaborate with partners and customers using trusted, up-to-date product information.The department is responsible for delivering supply chain agility and business continuity solutions. The Data governance and traceability provided by the department enables Vestas as an Organization to drive down costs, accelerate time to market, and deliver the highest levels of quality and compliance on the parts and technical specifications.

 

The main functional areas of the department pertain to BOM management, Change and configuration management, Product Data & Variability Management, Service Process Management, Project and design Collaboration, Governance, and Workflow.

 

Responsibilities

  • Participate Design Discussion with Supplier along with Designers. 
  • Participate 3D Review on the necessary discussion.
  • Guiding the Designers on Spare Parts, Lowest replaceable unit and Bill of Material and its structure creation.
  • Delivering Change Notice Spare part review Task for a Service Design in Windchill.
  • Addressing Spare Part Queries from Designers and Stake Holders through Mail.  
  • Delivering Service Bill of Material review on Specific Project 
  • Clarify the Spare part related queries from the Cross functions/Internal Customers.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Drive and support Service continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in periodic improvement activities to improve KPI's and PPI's related to the role.

 

Qualifications

  • BE or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical with 9+ Years Service Field Experience in MW Class. Wind turbines 
  • Strong Service background.
  • Experience with change management and implementation
  • Experience implementing improvements based on value stream
  • Must possess influence and persuasiveness and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • High-level skills in MS Office

 

Competencies

  • Broad Product Knowledge in MW Class Wind Turbine Product and its system /structure is must. 
  • Knowledge in wind turbine Spare parts.
  • Sound knowledge in reading and understanding the Electrical Schematic with various power system and control system.
  • Sound Knowledge in reading and understanding the Hydraulic Schematic with various pressure system.
  • Knowledge in SAP and Windchill, Creo
  • Knowledge in advanced Excel and proficient in Macro
  • Good communication skill 
  • Knowledge in RDS Standard.
  • Knowledge in Scheduled and Repair & replacement of Wind turbine maintenance.
  • Knowledge in Turbine Installation and it's tools.
  • Knowledge in Personal Safety and Turbine Safety systems with Wind Turbine. 
  • Positive approach with a can-do mind set and true motivation towards giving the customer a great service experience.
