The sensor department develops and maintains advanced sensor solutions for all Vestas turbines. 
You will be part of the Advanced Sensor Technologies, which sets the requirements for advanced sensor solutions, owns the sensor system design and specification and performs integration, test and verification of the entire sensing system.

 

Responsibilities

  • You will be engaged in integrating of sub functional (various sensor) systems in sensor hardware area into the turbine.

  • You will be implementing the changes, improvements, and updates to the sensor functions.

  • You will be part of identifying and specifying new sensor solutions with subsequent qualification and integration of it into the turbine.

  • You will be coordinating and implementing technical tasks/solutions in different projects and actively work with internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders (suppliers).

  • You will be doing some design work with CAD engineers and evaluation.

  • You will be supporting sales projects to deliver solution i.e., specific to customer needs

  • You will be supporting services by providing technical documentation for installation and maintenance

  • You will be analyzing the failure modes to sub functional system as a part of continuous improvements and resolve the issues.

  • You will use software tool to configure IO of sensor components.

  • You will support the testing of sensors at field and laboratory.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master (3-4years of experience) or Master of Engineering (2-3yrs of experience).

  • Preferable in the following or similar disciplines: Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.

  • Knowledge of technical project management and engineering change management.

  • Experience in working with Bill of Materials (BoM)

  • Experience with system integration/implementation (electrical/mechanical)

  • Good knowledge of system engineering and DFMEA principles.

  • General knowledge of EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) and EMC testing

  • General knowledge of electrical systems, various sensor systems used in wind turbine.

  • Good knowledge of EN54/IEC standard
