TOE SDC is part of the Global Operations Engineering team. The Service Delivery Centre (SDC) contributes to the growth of Vestas Service by directly involving itself with Service Business Units (SBUs) on CIR reviews, VGA (Vestas Global Adviser) updates, and field support. Being a part of a Global function, we aim to be the best and keep improving ourselves to deliver the best. We review CIRs (Blades & General) created by site engineers across the globe on Vestas CIR Portal and third-party drone portals. We maintain the VGA portal up-to-date by creating new troubleshoot guides and upgrading existing guides. VGA is a tool used across Vestas to troubleshoot turbine-related concerns. We are responsible for supporting SBUs to achieve service targets by performing day-to-day technical tasks through a remote working structure.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creating or conducting technical reviews of troubleshooting guides (VGA) for Onshore, Offshore, and MB platforms alarms
  • Lead technical discussions across VPS and Service engineers to develop complex guides
  • Develop and deliver yearly plan to deliver VGA, bringing Value into Vestas ecosystem
  • Constitute and lead technical task force to provide VGA deliverables like LPF reduction, LD avoidance and improvement in other operational parameters
  • Active involvement in developing solutions through analysis of various WTG parameter
  • Lead and support service review of New Platform troubleshooting guides within agreed timeframe
  • Proactive engagement in upgrading the VGA tool in terms of technical content, user interface, responsiveness and quality of content
  • Resolve critical alarms through site participation
  • Conduct weekly/monthly calls with stakeholders in order to align on VGA progress
  • Support stakeholders in delivering feedback on time
  • Create databases as needed to support digitization, data analysis, and minimize backlogs
  • Create and update troubleshooting task-list into VGA
  • Provide technical support to Service and VPS
  • Provide operational support to site engineers in resolving turbine alarms/alerts
  • Liaise with other technical staff throughout the company (worldwide) as part of solving technical issues
  • Collaborate with regional teams on creating and deploying action plans for timely VGA delivery and LPF/LD reduction
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions with site technicians, functional specialists, and Vestas Power Solutions team members to develop high-quality troubleshooting guides
  • Strive for the best quality of VGA Guides through continuous process improvement and innovation

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 8+yrs of experience in Technical support, Troubleshooting, commissioning or Service operations 
  • 5+ years of site experience in WTG troubleshooting is must
  • Multiband experience (GE/ Gamesa / Suzlon / Senvion etc.) is added advantage
  • Offshore experience is plus point
  • Knowledge of Power BI / Data analysis tool/ Jira is added advantage
