Service Operations Planning - Service Asia provides centralized planning, forecasting, and operational governance to support service execution across the Asia region. The department manages resource pool planning, technical job preparation, work order performance, and scheduled maintenance readiness. It partners closely with Field Service, Engineering, Supply Chain, and regional service teams to ensure operational efficiency, timely service delivery, and continuous improvement. This function acts as the backbone of service operations by enabling capacity planning, performance monitoring, and standardized processes across Asia Onshore
Responsibilities
- The Service Operations Planning Leader is responsible for driving end‑to‑end planning for the service organization.
- This role leads the Resource Pool Team, oversees technical planning, ensures rigorous control of work order overdues, and partners closely with Service Operations teams to enable flawless CIM (Continuous Improvement Management) implementation.
- A key accountability includes ensuring on‑time completion of scheduled maintenance through proactive planning, capacity management, and cross‑functional coordination.
- The ideal candidate brings deep service operations expertise, engineering background, strong analytical skills, and proven leadership capability in high‑performance service environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial or equivalent - mandatory).
- Minimum 14+ years of experience in service industry operations (field service, industrial services, capital equipment, engineering services, or related domains).
- Minimum 7+ years of proven people‑leadership experience managing multi‑disciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
- Deep expertise in service operations, including:
- Work order management
- Maintenance planning (scheduled, preventive, predictive)
- S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)
- Inventory and parts management
- Resource pool management and workforce optimization
- Execution of special tasks / service campaigns
- Strong knowledge of field service operations and performance management
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems
- Demonstrated track record of operational excellence, including process improvement, planning optimization, and governance frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
