Come join the new Vestas Blades Process Engineering organization. The Finish & Paint Blades training department within the Blades Finish & paint Process Engineering: Will create and own the Process Specific Training Material, including video and other documentation. Will also own the Training roadmap for deployment of process specific training, including key PFMEA elements. Support to specific sites for implementation of training can occur. There will be between 1-2 Professional engineers working with Finish & Paint Training. The whole Finish & Paint department will consist of 9-12 high educated engineers or equal education, and they will be divided into 5 teams: Process, Tooling, Documentation, Operational Support and Training. 

Responsibilities

As a Training Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in develop and improving the Training material for wind turbine blades. If you do not have a deep knowledge within composite materials and blades manufacturing methods, you will have a high motivation to get it. You will have a strong focus on modern training systems and material including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems. The training methods are focused on the receivers, have the factory employees in focus.

• Design and optimizing training material within the Finish & paint process: 
• Analysis of AS IS and future state of our training material and systems
• Create Process Roadmap and plans for future states
• Define training material requirements and specifications if material shall be developed of others
• Standardization of generic Bonding training materials
• Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
• Investigating and solving training issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams.
• Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools Kaizen to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final training material quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor engineering or alike level
• Train the Trainer or other training education 
• 6-8 years of developing training material mainly for unskilled workers 
• Training of shop floor employees
• Planning training for up to 300 people
• Developed / defined functional training material for employees with a short or long education.

Competencies

• Ability to assess skill gaps and define learning objectives aligned with business goals
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, blended learning, and experiential training formats.
• Working with engineering managers, and subject matter experts to co-develop content for functional training material
• Ensuring training aligns with ISO standards, safety regulations, and internal policies.
• Familiarity with LMS (Learning Management Systems) and e-learning tools.
• Gathering input from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
• You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
• Data-Driven Decision Making, use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams. 
• You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
• You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
• Be an active part of cross functional product development projects
• You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
• You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
• You are committed to learning
