A Design Engineer in Global Repair Operations (GRO) is responsible for understanding, clarifying and reviewing tooling design specification, design verification & validation, design risk associated in manufacturing value chain and different types of instructions. Production Engineering Supporter in Supply Chain & Repair (SC&R) is key accountable for providing the most robust, committed, efficient tooling design solution with highest performance for Repair activities of wind turbine components/assembly.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for providing the most robust, committed, efficient tooling design solution with highest performance for Repair activities of wind turbine components/assembly.
- Accountable for understanding, clarifying and reviewing tooling design specification, design verification & validation, design risk associated in manufacturing value chain.• Contribute to improve quality through standardization, modularization and process efficiency improvements.
- Ensure cross functional collaboration with relevant interface owners throughout the value chain.
- Create and maintain documentation for the design
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in Tool design and /or Product design in Heavy Engineering Industry
- Experience in Analytic calculation and FEA- ANSYS
- Experience in Mechanical design and specification in compliant to the relevant international standards
- Experience in working in an intercultural environment
Competencies
- In-depth knowledge in Structural Mechanics is essential.
- Experience in 3D-Modeling and 2D-drafting, for example using Creo/ PDMlink and project execution through ERP/ECM systems
- Exposure or Experience with International engineering standards like ASME/EN/ISO. Etc. Exposure to CE marking/DFMEA/risk assessment etc. needed for product development
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing and for instance insight into wind turbines, e.g. welding processes and material properties
- Work experience with lifting tools and structures
- Good Communication Skills which enable you to convey to a wide range of stakeholders across the globe
