A Design Engineer in Global Repair Operations (GRO) is responsible for understanding, clarifying and reviewing tooling design specification, design verification & validation, design risk associated in manufacturing value chain and different types of instructions. Production Engineering Supporter in Supply Chain & Repair (SC&R) is key accountable for providing the most robust, committed, efficient tooling design solution with highest performance for Repair activities of wind turbine components/assembly.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for providing the most robust, committed, efficient tooling design solution with highest performance for Repair activities of wind turbine components/assembly.
• Accountable for understanding, clarifying and reviewing tooling design specification, design verification & validation, design risk associated in manufacturing value chain.• Contribute to improve quality through standardization, modularization and process efficiency improvements.
• Ensure cross functional collaboration with relevant interface owners throughout the value chain.
• Create and maintain documentation for the design

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience in Tool design and /or Product design in Heavy Engineering Industry
• Experience in Analytic calculation and FEA- ANSYS
• Experience in Mechanical design and specification in compliant to the relevant international standards
• Experience in working in an intercultural environment

Competencies

• In-depth knowledge in Structural Mechanics is essential.
• Experience in 3D-Modeling and 2D-drafting, for example using Creo/ PDMlink and project execution through ERP/ECM systems
• Exposure or Experience with International engineering standards like ASME/EN/ISO. Etc. Exposure to CE marking/DFMEA/risk assessment etc. needed for product development
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing and for instance insight into wind turbines, e.g. welding processes and material properties
• Work experience with lifting tools and structures
• Good Communication Skills which enable you to convey to a wide range of stakeholders across the globe
