Applications, Controls & Electrical > Control Hardware > Cabling & Guideways

 

Control Hardware is responsible for delivering optimized and reliable control solutions for our Wind Turbines including the functional safety. This includes the real-time communication backbone that ties all the distributed control nodes together, the real time operating system of the control nodes and the high-level functionality that control all operation in the turbine. Control Hardware is responsible for maintaining the man machine & plant interface, service functionality, sensing (wind, azimuth, yawing, tower acceleration), AUX power supply & backup.

We are a team of around 90+ engineers spread between Denmark, Portugal & India working in a highly innovative technology-centric and process significant environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of assigned components / products within control and auxiliary power
  • Create or Update of technical purchase specifications for LV switchgear and LV cables & Control cables
  • Create or Update of technical purchase specifications for Junction Boxes, socket outlets
  • Create and maintain Electrical documentations like panel layout, electrical diagrams etc
  • Create or Update Service and Installation procedures
  • Ownership on implementation of technologies into our turbine platforms
  • Participate in supplier type / routine test on LV Switchgear and LV cables 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master's in Electrical / Similar engineering specialization
  • 3 to 5 Years experience in Electrical Engineering and LV Design of Cables
  • Responsible for making a feasibility study of cable paths in wind turbine
  • Responsible for modelling of all Cables and harness for Wind Turbine and detailing using Cero Parametric software
  • Responsible for ensuring Quality of Deliverables on Time in alignment with the Vestas process
  • Align with Cad CAD leads and Tech leads on regular basis to understand the Scope of Work

 

Competencies

  • Exposure to EMC / EMI needs to the product
  • Field support experience including fault finding, root cause analysis and implementation of field repair
  • Exposure to International standards such as IEC, UL, etc., preferably IEC 60204-1 Machine directivities' 60364-5-2,Etc
  • Hands on experience on PTC Windchill PDM link
  • Hands on experience on change management system
  • Hands on experience on Electrical drafting tools like Eplan, Etap for Calculations
