Vestas EBSC (Engineering and Business Solutions Centre) is the center of excellence for services and solutions in COO value chain. One of the functions in EBSC is Engineering which primarily along with Global Manufacturing function supports in Production development. 


EBSC Engineering, having expertise in technical documentation, process and layout design, Tooling design, PDM and testing automation supports Vestas global strategies through process optimization, production support, test validation, cost control and E2E project management. We enact creative & innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement culture to make Vestas vision come true. 

This role is part of Engineering - Manufacturing design and EAM team, where asset creation, maintenance and masterdata update along with spare control and PM scheduling are being worked out for different regional manufacturing operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Tactical deliveries:
    • Understand the manufacturing business in terms of managing different asset used in various production processes of WTG module and provide predictive intel on machine down time, analyze/ report root cause through PowerBI dashboards and support implementation of corrective actions.
    • Support in implementation of Asset Management system in Manufacturing/ Service/ construction business units/ allied warehouses. 
    • Proactively provide equipment re-use intel consistently to project/ factories/ functions to minimize CAPEX/ OPEX.

  • Operational deliveries:
    • Handle operational deliverable like creating new tools in Asset management system, associating documents like manuals, risk assessments to created tools.
    • Support maintenance of assets, spares work order completion along with PM scheduling. 
    • Create/ provide the KPI reports in PowerBI to the factories on a weekly basis in terms of calibration status, PM adherence, Spares consumptions, etc.
    • Systemize the calibration reports from suppliers/ follow-up in case of overdue.

 

Qualifications

  • A professional degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Production as major, with 3 years of work experience.

 

Competencies

  • Business competencies:
    • Proficient in one or more below mentioned skills will be an added advantage: 
    Data analysis with working level knowledge in BI development/ SQL/ MS Office - PowerPoint & Advanced Excel using macros, pivot table, charts, Visual Basic, etc.
    • Experience in hands-on as well as theoretical work with machine tools and Equipment maintenance
    • Exposure to Factory Tools & Equipment Maintenance.

  • Behavior Competencies:
    • Open-minded and eager to learn.
    • Highly process driven, quality conscious and proactive attitude to mitigate risks in processes. 
    • Good communication skills with a range of stakeholders internally within Vestas and outside of Vestas with suppliers.
