Loads and Control (LaC), as part of Product Solutions & Integration, is responsible for designing and optimizing the product for load and control strategy together with cross product design work. The department consists of highly skilled, international, well skilled engineers who are taking accountability for all aspects of the LaC solution delivered to the Products which are placed across 3 design locations: Portugal, Denmark and India. As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, Loads & Controls - Value engineering is responsible for assessing the loads and power performance of Turbine at various stages in the product life cycle. 




  • Tech integral complex controls projects and activities in the team
  • Working with peer Technical Leads, Functional leads and controls specialists on developing Control Solutions for wind turbines
  • Understanding, Implementing & Testing the change in line with guidelines
  • Participate in Implementation & Functional Reviews
  • Perform the RCA on control algorithms & provide the solutions
  • Provide the solution for turbine improvements on non-standard product requests, Service solutions



  • Master degree in Electrical or electro-mechanical, instrumentation & controls engineering with controls system background
  • 6-8 years of Working experience in Simulation/Modelling tools as MATLAB SIMULINK, control systems for wind turbine or similar energy domain
  • Solid Competence on Mathematical modelling of Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic Systems
  • Knowledge on Control Design and Control Tuning using Model Based Control approach
  • Exposure to state of art control algorithms/technologies in academics, projects works is an added advantage



  • Good at Control Theory
  • Programming knowledge in C++, SQL, Python
  • Control System Modelling, Controller Design, Controller Tuning & Controller Verification
  • Good knowledge in Power generation concepts.
  • Knowledge in Aero Dynamics
  • Knowledge on programming, Data engineering, machine learning, mechanical engineering will be an added advantage
  • Should be able to convert abstract ideas and vision and should be proficient to communicate the same
  • Skillset to balance strategic activities and operational activities is work
  • Innovative mindset and curiosity/ability to learn new control technologies
