If you are inspired by developing Software solutions, have experience in Software Development, like fully owning an entire part of the functionality for Vestas's wind turbines, from development to life-cycle management, then you may be the candidate we are looking for.
The Turbine Control Software Module is responsible for delivering embedded control applications for turbines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with software developers in the team and with the stakeholders in your functional area
- Participate in full project lifecycles using Agile practices for the software development
- Be engaged during the functional and software requirements definition of the turbine's control systems
- Committed in writing and updating comprehensive technical documentation and maintain software functionality
- Developing and maintaining our control systems for the various hardware components of the turbine
- Developing high-quality software in an engaging and complex domain
- You will have full life-cycle ownership of the functionalities you produce, therefore you will be involved in new product development but also in dealing with fleet and performance issues
- Engage in root cause analysis to identify potential turbine performance issues
- Be a significant contributor to the continuous improvement of our processes, software, and tools
- You will be responsible for verification of the solution on all levels, including software tests (in-house) and field verification
- You will be also responsible for documenting and presenting your work in a precise way to your internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Education Qualification: B. Tech / B.E / MTech / ME - CSE, ECE, EEE
- 6+ years of working experience with software development
- Extensive development experience with modern C++
- Object oriented & state-based software design
- Software architecture and design patterns - Beyond basic principles, you should have a deep understanding of design pattern, when to use them and which patterns to avoid
- Experience in real time embedded systems in the machine control domain
- Direct experience with product or technology development
- Experience with SCRUM and Agile Development
- Understanding of Continuous integration solutions with e.g. Git, Jenkins, Atlassian suite
