SCM Engineering & Business Service Center > Procurement Services > GPPM (Global Procurement Program Management)

 

Global Procurement Program Management ( GPPM ) , which is a function of the Global Procurement located under Vestas - Engineering Business Service Center in Chennai. The main objective of the department is to ensure that all the Global procurement deliverables for a project is fulfilled with high Quality , and On time.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to ensure that the project meets the Time to Market target with Safety, Quality and cost parameters also fulfilled
  • Ensure compliance to Quality management system processes and Vestas Way to Market (Stage gate model)
  • Proactively engage and collaborate with cross functional teams to identify risks and mitigation plans
  • To act as a "Go to" person for Solution to problems and driving actions related to Procurement function
  • Continuously Innovate, Improve and knowledge sharing of Sourcing and product development processes
  • Drive development of best practices within the functional area
  • Generate project performance reports and conduct peer review meetings

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) with minimum 9 to 11 years of experience in Global procurement, new product development functions
  • Project management certification and or 6 sigma knowledge is an added advantage.

 

Competencies

  • Expertise in Global procurement functions
  • Hands on experience in New product development and its processes including Life cycle management.
  • High level of expertise in Engineering Change management process
  • Proficiency in SAP, Windchill and Creo view tools.
  • Expected Advanced level of skill in handling Excel workbooks, Macros, SAP GUI and Power BI tools
  • Strong Technical skills with Manufacturing Knowledge, Negotiation, Interpersonal communication and problem solving
  • Must have the drive and enthusiasm to work on tight deadlines, across different time zones and cultures.
