Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, covering the full industrial value chain - from Research & Development, Procurement, and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO's mission is to transform how Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures, and delivers its products to consistently deliver the highest standards of quality, cost efficiency, and speed to market.

The TCM Nacelle department is composed of a multicultural and diverse team of engineers from several nationalities, located across multiple regions worldwide. The team is responsible for developing solutions - including tools and processes - for the transport and installation of Vestas components globally. We are involved in the development of both onshore and offshore turbine solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate technical project activities
  • Select mechanical concepts, define solutions, and plan solutions validation
  • Participate in field testing to validate tools and value chain processes
  • Ensure cross functional collaboration with relevant interface owners throughout the value chain
  • Supervise design risks of your solutions, tools, and drawings
  • Ensure communication with suppliers and manufacturing, making sure to meet design targets and timelines

 

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's / PhD in Mechanical / Structural / Similar specialization
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as Structural or Mechanical Design
  • Experience / interest in mechanical design and specification in compliance with relevant international standards
  • Experience / interest in CAD development software

 

  Competencies

  • Interest in structural analysis and FEA (Tool: ANSYS)
  • Experience / interest in Scrum methodology or other Agile-related method
  • Guided by knowledge & learnings
  • Self-motivated, target focused, team member, creative, organized & structured person
  • Effective communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing)
