Global Manufacturing > Engineering & Business Service Center > Technical Transfer, Training & intelligence


Tech Transfer, Training & Intelligence Team is a multi-disciplinary team engaged in varied engineering disciplines. Major activities include, Creation and modification of Layouts in line with the dynamic needs of the global factories, Forecast & Capacity planning, Value stream mapping, Training Co-ordination & Knowledge transfer, Geometry & metrology tooling, Plc Programming & data analysis. Team has early engagement with NPIs, facilitate and implement Tech Transfers & offer continuous support to all factories and suppliers across the globe. This role pertains to Quality Measurement and data Intelligence (Laser systems).


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for commissioning and Installation of Laser systems 
  • Responsible for development of measurement tools, Metrology tooling and Inspection Methodologies 
  • Handle engineering changes (Technical documentation etc.) 
  • Effectively identify problems and implement corrective actions 
  • Handling continuous improvements, Initiate and carry out cost effective lean solutions 
  • Networking with internal customers and external stake holders 


Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering in Mechanical or Production of Allied 
  • 8 to 10 year experience in 3D Modelling & Concept design and documentation 
  • Work experience in manufacturing industry in tools design 


Competencies

  • Hands on experience in CAD tools - Catia, Creo, Solid works & Auto CAD and knowledge on PDM (Windchill) 
  • Hands on Experience in Surface modelling 
  • Managing supplier interactions, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & Site Acceptance Test (SAT) 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Working Knowledge on ERP (Infor XA / SAP) and Microsoft Office tools 
  • Experience with Laser systems & Quality tools
