Vestas Factory

Power Plant Solutions is accountable for grid connection solutions and electrical interfaces through the whole product life cycle. In this department we provide technical support to Sales, Construction, Service and Development, furthermore we are responsible to input market information to Vestas R&D in order to secure product design according to market demand.

 

Grid Connection Codes scouting & interpretations and communication with System Operators in LATAM area with special focus on Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay;

Input Grid related market requirements to Vestas R&D ensuring future compliance and marketability of Plant offerings;

  • Coordinate technical support to Sales Dept. during contract negotiation and bid definition in relation to electrical and grid requirements in order to comply with the applicable standards and technical specifications of the customer;
  • Participation in team selling approach and building value in each individual project and different customer profiles;
  • Technical review of the customers' tender documentation and related risk mitigation on project specific basis;
  • Coordinate business case optimization and value engineering initiatives for Grid Plant offerings
  • Contractual Annex preparation;
  • Coordinate technical support to the Project Manager during the project construction phase in relation to electrical and grid requirements specific of the project;
  • Coordinate the technical implementation of the plant control system allowing the grid compliance of the plants
  • Technical meetings with customers, contractors, grid operators & utilities.

 

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems
  • Relevant work experience from Transmission Operators, power system or wind industry
  • Knowledge about grid connection code requirements
  • Knowledge about HV and MV equipment
  • Knowledge about power system stability, control and analysis
  • Knowledge about PowerFactory and PSS-E simulation SW will
  • Knowledge about Energy Market in Argentina and other LATAM South Cone countries will
  • Spanish & English language, both written and spoken.
