The Sales department is responsible for securing long-term sales relationships with Vestas customers, as well as identifying and pursuing supply sales opportunities, from initial screening and quotation to effectively negotiating and closing contracts.
Responsibilities
- Support the internal and external dialogue with customers to ensure a good understanding of customers' projects in their pipeline
- Support the Sales team in the screening and evaluation of sales opportunities
- Coordinate and support bid preparations and negotiations
- Evaluating the requirements and designing a solution that meets the requirements for the bid in coordination with other functions
- Establishing bid proposal value, including direct costs, subcontractor/vendor costs, overhead, other costs, and contingencies, using internal tools and managing internal stakeholder interfaces involved in the sales process (technical, financial, pricing, legal, construction and service)
- Scoping, optimisation, cost assessment, benchmarking, risk analysis and consolidating the required info for analysis
- Organising bid proposals' documents to meet RFP requirements. Structure, develop, edit and write proposal sections per RFP requirements
- Project management of all cross-functional departments, as well as of the sales process throughout the bidding process, ensuring timely passage through the stages of the sales process
- Ensure the involvement of internal stakeholders during the execution of the sales strategy
- Provide contract closing and negotiation support to the Sales Manager
- Investigate and document the outcome of sales opportunities
- Creating and maintaining opportunities in Salesforce ensuring data quality targets are met for the department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or similar)
- 2 years of similar experience in the energy industry, machinery, construction or related environment, large infrastructure projects or large manufactured products
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Master’s degree in business, engineering or finance is beneficial
