Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in a growing sector where you can play a key role in organizing the Planning department? Join the world leader in wind energy as a Senior Planner. This position is based in Bucharest, Romania. The Planning department is responsible for creating wind energy project execution schedules, considering various external factors (such as customer requests and site conditions) as well as internal factors (including financial targets, contractual terms, the location of wind turbine parts production, project locations, and KPIs). The department plays an active role during the sales phase and is equally crucial during the construction phase to ensure the project is executed according to the contractual schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project plans and schedules ranging from level one integrated project plans
- Create, maintain, and progress the overall resource loaded portfolio schedule into Primavera
- Ensure that all schedules generated for a project are fully integrated and resource-loaded to ensure the accuracy of projected staffing requirements
- Obtains data on project progress, logic and manpower from Project Managers, contractors, or other project/plant personnel.
- Review / validate expected milestone dates on new projects assisting in the setting of milestone targets as required
- Conduct schedule, review meetings, and assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to project plans
- Assist project managers, team members, and the Head of Construction on project scheduling issues as opportunities/risks arise
- Elaborate monthly/weekly planning reports for customers
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience as Project Planner in large international projects (budget > €50MM) including EPC contracts. Experience on Wind Energy is an added value
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Office Software - PRIMAVERA and MS Project expert
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Contract Management Course or Certification
Competencies
- International experience with external stakeholders (customer, suppliers, subcontractors) and internal stakeholders (Manufacturing department, Supply chain, Procurement, Finance)
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly
- Contract Management experience (Supporting the Contract Manager on Variation Orders&claims) and experience managing Contracts
