EVP MED / SBU MED Customer Project Execution / Installation Department East

The Installation Department East is in charge of installation and commissioning of all wind farm projects from start to completion, in our East cluster, made of Romania, Ukraine and Croatia, and other countries in the area where business is under development.

Being based in Bucharest in Romania, the Installation Manager is responsible of a team of site supervisors, lead site supervisors and site managers that supervise the activities on site performed by our subcontractors: transportation, deliveries, lifting operations, mechanical completion and commissioning. In collaboration with project managers, the Installation Manager is responsible for delivering projects according to our standard in term of Safety, Quality, budget and planning.

It also works closely with the planning, transport and other departments to ensure each wind farm delivers the highest energy yield within the client's specification.

Responsibilities

The Installation Department East is in charge of installation and commissioning of all wind farm projects from start to completion, in our East cluster, made of Romania, Ukraine and Croatia, and other countries in the area where business is under development. Being based in Bucharest in Romania, you will report to the Head of Installation and Commissioning MED and you will be responsible of a team of site supervisors, lead site supervisors and site managers that supervise the activities on site performed by our subcontractors: transportation, deliveries, lifting operations, mechanical completion and commissioning. In collaboration with project managers, the Installation Manager is responsible for delivering projects according to our standard in term of Safety, Quality, budget and planning. It also works closely with the planning, transport and other departments to ensure each wind farm delivers the highest energy yield within the client's specification.

Also you will:

  • Ensure Vestas health and safety procedures are followed, quality standards met
  • Ensure following of planning project schedules
  • Supervise the delivery, construction and commissioning of wind farm projects within budget and time constraints and adhering to quality and contractual obligations
  • Supervise work carried out by subcontractors
  • Lead the organization to ensure alignment with company values

SAFETY:

  • Direct and coordinate performance efforts for internal teams and subcontracted workers throughout the cluster
  • Compliance with internal training matrix

Team Management

  • Ensure proper allocation/use of resources
  • Lead and oversee the development leadership team and their designated successors

Installation costs control

  • Tools Ordering and first line support
  • Promote and follow company values

Execution Management

  • Ensure Vestas health and safety procedures are followed
  • Overseeing and managing installation activities across the Cluster according to the budget
  • Oversee and manage Installation Performance of the Cluster
  • Continuous improvement & cost our of construction operations
  • Project Contract / Plan (Scope, time and cost)
  • Installation lead times (OSD - TOR)

Colaboration with other departments:

  • Support CPX department in Vestas targets achievement (safety, revenue, margin, cash)
  • Sales support (pre-calc, scope, risk assessment, bids)
  • Customer relation

Digitalization:

  • Coordinate and manage installation standardization inside the Cluster
  • Promote internally and externally use of digital tools developed

Qualifications

  • A master's degree or similar level qualification in business, PMI/PMP/IPMA/Prince-2 Certification is valuable
  • At least 5 years' experience as a project manager, site manager or team manager, e.g. in operations, in a multinational environment and international experience
  • Experience in a range of IT and software packages, including Primavera Project Planner, comfortable with digital tools
  • Extensive experience leading large projects
  • Experience supervising and coordinating teams
  • Good written and oral skills in English and Romanian
