Within the Finance function, the Business Performance Management team is responsible for the Budgeting and Controlling of Sales and Construction activities, in compliance with IFRS, the Vestas Financial Guidelines, and statutory regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy and accountability in the pre-calculations, reducing the deviations between pre-calcs and post-calcs
- Perform the controlling of the Sales activity in compliance with the sales approval process and rules
- Project Controlling, conducting the monthly project review with the project managers, improving the margins and cash flows, and ensuring the gap analysis and budgetary controls
- Ensure the highest data quality in the systems to maintain a high level of reliability and accuracy in budgeting and forecasting
- Deliver the month-end closing tasks for the Construction line of business, in connection with the Reporting and Compliance team, to ensure timely and accurate closure of financial statements to headquarters
- Support the monthly internal reporting, including all associated processes and controls
- Participate in the relevant budgeting, controlling, and finance under Vestas Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that controls and applicable compliance requirements are in place
- Support the external and internal audit process
Qualifications
- Degree in finance or accounting
- Master's in business administration (MBA) or a certified public accountant (CPA) designation is beneficial
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in finance, with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in a multinational company
- Availability to travel
Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude
- Good knowledge of accounting, controlling, budgeting
- Comprehensive skills in Excel, PPT, and Windows Office tools
- Fluency in English (written and spoken). Additionally, Spanish is advantageous
- Knowledge of Information Systems SAP/BI and ERP systems
- Ability to work in a team but also autonomously under tight deadlines
