General Purpose:
Oversees, activities in the Central Warehouse related to rigging, shipping, receiving, storing, supplies and dispatch of materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation.
The Warehouse Team Member III is a subject matter expert in rigging, receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory operations. They are responsible to physically and systematically process inventory correctly and accurately to support internal customers.
Responsibilities:
· Depending on assigned department employee may be required to perform tasks in the rigging, shipping, receiving, inventory, small, or large tools operations
· Responsible for adhering to all processes with little to no supervision
· Responsible for collaborating on designing and implementing standard processes within assigned work area
· Work with leadership to effectively and efficiently resource plan for day-to-day activities
· Act as first level of escalation for operational challenges for other WHTM
· Safely load, transfer, and unload palatized and non-palatized materials using assigned equipment
· Perform basic and complex transactions in SAP as well as troubleshoot and resolve most SAP errors to maintain accurate and timely inventory data
· Internally certified to inspect rigging material
· Conduct or coordinate the on-process training, including line orientation and risk review, of all new team members or those transferring into the area
· Other responsibilities as assigned
Essential Functions:
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work off of step stools and ladders
· Weight restriction: Able to Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
· Ability to frequently walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend
· Ability to constantly grip and manually manipulate, often with repetitive motion, items such as, but not limited to, hand tools and turbine parts
· Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions. In some cases color differentiation may be required
· Ability to adapt to a changing environment, consistently demonstrating Vestas Core Values
· Support and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts
· Able to safely operate all equipment according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
· Regular & reliable attendance in adherence to the outline attendance policy
· Set a good example of personal integrity
· Ability to learn and interpret the instructions and translate that in to work
· Ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
Education, Training, and Skills Required:
· 1-2 years experience working in a warehouse, distribution center
· High School or equivalent
· Working knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices and procedures preferred
Minimum 1 year rigging experience preferred.
· Experience in operating a forklift and reach truck preferred
· Experience leading small teams preferred
· Experience working within SAP preferred
· Strong attention to detail & ability to follow directions with precise execution
· Ability to read, interpret & understand basic drawings & schematics a plus
· Ability to read, interpret process documents
· Basic computer literacy
· Beginner level understanding of Microsoft office preferred
