Production Supervisor Nights 

 

NIGHT SHIFT: MON-THUR 5:00PM-3:30AM 

 

General Purpose:

Accountable for understanding the business and translate the commitments in day-to-day activities that achieve business results.

 

Responsibilities:

· Assure adequate workforce planning to achieve production goals

· Implement and support self-managed teams

· Guarantee the safety of your work area and team members by adhering to safety policies and procedures and requiring a safety mindset

· Assure all products adhere to quality requirements through education, quality checks and quality measures

· Collaborate with others in the organization to ensure you have what you need to meet takt times and delivery

· Assure team members have the required tools and knowledge to meet demands

· Ensure all team members have performance expectations set, 1:1 coaching and evaluations for performance, behaviors and development plans

· Expected to meet and exceed all cost standards and continually challenge yourself to a leaner and lower cost for your area. Waste reduction is included

· Relentlessly communicate both inward and outward to your team and the business

· All other duties as assigned

 

 

Essential Functions:

· Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information & gauge its importance when making decisions

· Collaborative and effective team player & able to work with teams who may be global

· Set a good example of personal integrity

· Take initiative, seek and act on opportunities to improve organization performance

· Ability to translate specific goals into action and follow through to achieve goals

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software

· Demonstrates a safety mindset

 

 

Education, Training, and Skills Required:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· College Education / Degree in related field preferred but not required.

· Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a high degree of adaptability & flexibility

· Strong desire to learn new skills & knowledge

· Excellent work ethic, dependability & dedication to team & company, personal desire & value to produce quality work

· System skills – Microsoft Office, Outlook, ERP / MRP systems, CRM database, etc.

· Basic and applied knowledge of Lean/5S concepts

· Understanding basic production work instructions

· Analytical skills including trouble shooting, root cause analysis & problem solving

· Conflict resolution and effective verbal & written communication skills, executed with respect, care and concern for colleagues.

· Minimum travel may be required.

· Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions

· Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment for the task, i.e. safety glasses, gloves, face shield, bump cap, etc.

· Must be able to tolerate an environment where chemicals and materials are used within OSHA guidelines.

· Candidate must demonstrate that they can climb up and down 8 stairs

Employees are responsible to perform duties related to generating and storing hazardous waste in satellite accumulation areas. Must remain within regulatory and internal compliance when using, handling, or segregating hazardous materials and waste. Heavy industrial work environment, variance from moderate noise level to loud machine noise from production floor (ear protection may be required during specific processes

 

 

 

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000 (Plus Nights Differential)
