Supervisor Logistics Warehouse

Vestas is the energy industry's global partner in sustainable energy solutions. We design, manufacture, install, and service wind turbines. Since 2010, the Nacelles Factory in Brighton has proudly manufactured nacelles (engines) and hubs for wind turbines within 265,000 square feet of production space.
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible to oversee, and coordinate activities of workers concerned with shipping and movement of turbine blades, storing, inventorying, ordering, receiving, issuing materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
What does a Logistics Supervisor do?

Plan and direct shipping and warehouse operations in alignment with the production plan, ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards and best practices for inventory accuracy, stock levels, WIP, and inventory days.

Execute and oversee inbound, outbound, and internal logistics activities, ensuring efficient material flow to production and alignment with operational priorities.

Define and optimize storage strategies while maintaining high data quality across inventory systems, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and system integrity.

Plan and allocate material orders based on production requirements, ensuring timely availability and efficient inventory utilization.

Manage blade shipments according to the shipping plan by setting priorities, assigning resources, and defining methods to meet delivery schedules and customer commitments.

Promote and lead a safe work environment by enforcing HSE policies, procedures, permits, and regulatory compliance, driving 5S standards, and ensuring incidents are properly escalated and recorded.

Supervise Shipping/Warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and employee relations, while ensuring the team is organized and maintains the required qualification and competency levels.

Establish and maintain work procedures, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to company policies, operational standards, and quality requirements aligned to production and logistics goals.

Provide guidance on the proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials, as well as safe and effective use of equipment to support operational efficiency and compliance.

Ensure compliance with quality standards across all shipping and warehouse operations while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting data integrity.

Oversee the safe and compliant handling, storage, documentation, and transportation of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Organize team structure and workload distribution to ensure operational efficiency, capability coverage, and ongoing development of team skills and qualifications.
What you will bring?

2-5 years experience Logistics, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Supervisor training or verified people leadership training
-
HSE mandatory training completed, with focus on warehouse safety standards
Technical Skills
-
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations

Experience operating and loading heavy equipment
-
Background in transportation and logistics preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Familiarity with MRP systems, timekeeping systems, and supply chain platforms

Salary:$75,000-$100,000 (Plus Nights Differential)
