Vestas Factory

 

Directs and coordinates program activities designed to provide subcontractors, management, and customers with logistics technology that ensures effective and economical support for manufacturing. In addition, this position will lead the effort in managing special projects as assigned by the Logistics Manager and Factory manager.

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Optimize the Supply Chain

 

· Communicate with PO and PR requisition creators, vendors, and Vestas finance team to resolve issues with vendor invoicing

 

· Resource for purchasing process within the factory

 

· Act as an advisor and partner for planners, purchasers and production on logistic related issues

 

· May compile data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities

 

· Perform special research or technical studies critical to logistic support functions

 

· Utilize computer techniques for analysis, simulation or information systems and documentation

 

· Other duties as assigned

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SAP and additional software programs)

 

· Financial understanding

 

· Regular and reliable attendance

 

· Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions

 

· Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms

 

· Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

 

· Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and accept new ideas and changing initiatives

 

 

Education, Training, and Skills Required:

 

· Bachelor of Science (Production Engineering is desirable); mandatory three to five years direct planning experience

 

· Understanding of basic accounting principles

 

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

 

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

 

Physical Demands

 

While performing the tasks of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use of hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
