General Purpose:

In a safe and efficient manner, this role involves operating various heavy equipment to support the packaging, shipping, and transportation of Nacelles, Hubs, and other components, as well as providing support for factory needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate various heavy equipment, such as 40+ Ton Mobile Gantry Crane, 50+ Ton Reach Stacker/Container Handler, 20+ Ton Forklift, Grader, Skid Steer, Telescopic Forklift, among others.
  • Perform safety inspections daily and maintain inspection records.
  • Carry out initial maintenance on equipment, including mechanical repairs and modifications.
  • Move Nacelles, Hubs, and other components as required.
  • Prepare components for shipping, including all related documentation.
  • Maintain inventory records through the use of smartphone/computer.
  • Remove snow from walkway and receiving/shipping yard, if needed.
  • Execute regular and reliable attendance.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Heavy Equipment/Crane Operation, Rigging, Tiller-man duties.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to see and hear alarms, timers, and follow verbal instructions.
  • Capable of working in extreme weather conditions.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs and exert (push/pull) 100 lbs.
  • Basic Math and computer skills – Microsoft Office, ERP / MRP systems, SAP.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Certification in Rigger level 1, Heavy Equipment Operations, Mobile Crane, Welding AWS D 1.1, CDL Class-A
  • General knowledge of Rail/truck transport

 

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly lift up to 55 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  • Occasional exertion (push/pull) up to 100 lbs of force.
  • Required to climb ladders throughout the shift using proper fall protection.

 

Work Environment:

Outdoor work in all weather conditions; work on rail, trucks, other modes of transport; work in an industrial storage yard; snow removal duties.

Target Pay Rate: $21.50 hourly.
