Job Description:
Direct operations focused on producing high-quality blade components to help meet the energy needs of the renewable market. Set a high standard for safety, quality, and productivity, while guiding and motivating the team to reach their full potentialProvide clear leadership and direction by developing organizational capabilities, aligning resources, and executing strategies that support operational excellence. Ensure the right people are in the right roles by promoting strong, on-site relationships, enhancing workforce planning effectiveness in partnership with HR, and streamlining processes. Deliver on business plans and functional priorities by creating a cohesive, well‑supported work group structure that enables informed decision‑making, efficient execution, and consistent support for factory leaders and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with Vestas’ global standards and OSHA regulations
- Lead and develop the factory team to meet current and future business needs, providing coaching, mentoring, and capability‑building across all levels.
- Ensure KPI targets are met and support continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and technical performance
- Oversee effective process management, ensuring operational practices align with Vestas’ global business standards and support overall profitability.
- Manage cross-functional global programs aimed at improving safety, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness across the supply chain
- Ensure all products meet Vestas’ stringent quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and inspire a diverse workforce, including supervisors, technicians, and production teams, promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork with a focus on safety and quality
- Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships, including negotiations, performance evaluations, and collaboration with Global teams.
- Monitor supplier‑market trends and provide leadership opportunities that benefit the business.
- Ensure transparency in business operations, providing relevant data to support global strategies and decision‑making.
- Ensure completion of all required risk assessments and adherence to compliance expectations.
- Manage the site’s operating budget, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.
- Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities within the factory to support operational and financial targets
- Supervise project plans and monitor business performance, conducting regular reviews with Category Managers and senior leadership.

- Build and sustain trust-centered relationships with internal and external stakeholders at every level
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; master’s degree
- 6–8 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain or similar industry.
- Experience as a Head of Factory or leading a significant department / site within a broader manufacturing footprint.
- Demonstrated project and program management capability, including defining, planning, and executing short- and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated people leadership, with the ability to cultivate a collaborative environment, coach and develop team members, and manage performance
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, effective across technical and non-technical audiences in a global, matrixed organization
- Sound judgment and high integrity, with the ability to balance risk management with business objectives
- Advanced methodical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable decisions
- Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with internal leaders, external partners, and cross functional stakeholders
- Solid organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing priorities and manage multiple initiatives in a constantly changing environment
- Solid technical, methodical, and quantitative capabilities supporting data driven decision making and operational effectiveness.
- Results orientation. Consistently delivers results in challenging situations across all relevant KPIs.
- Operational excellence. Lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement to enhance productivity.
- Team leadership. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team to deliver factory plans
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost drivers, and ROI analysis aligned to KPI performance.
- ERP and digital fluency (e.g., SAP or comparable manufacturing/supply chain systems); solid proficiency with data/analytics tools (e.g., Excel/Power BI)
- Change management experience, with experience implementing new processes, systems, or operating models
- Safety leadership and compliance knowledge, including risk assessment practices and regulatory expectations in manufacturing environments.
- Cross cultural leadership experience, collaborating effectively across regions and time zones.
Salary Range: $245,000- $285,000 USD
