Global Procurement / Regional Procurement AME / SQD

The Supplier Quality Professional reports into the Vestas Global Procurement Organization.  This department has overall responsibility for supplier performance in relation to Quality and Fulfillment for specific categories and commodities within a respective region.  It supports Sourcing in the qualification of new suppliers and the management of existing suppliers.   The department also works closely with Vestas Factory Quality personnel to resolve supplier related Non-Conformances


  • Develop and maintain suppliers in the mechanical and electrical categories
  • Conduct supplier audits
  • Perform APQP and PPAP with suppliers (PPAP experience not required for this level position)
  • Partner with Production Business Unit (PBU) resources to support production ramps, interfacing with Quality Development and Sales Business Unit (SBU) organization
  • Ensure activities at regional suppliers are completed in compliance with Vestas Business processes
  • Support QSE priorities associated with regional suppliers with QSE
  • Prioritize and provide quick reaction to Supplier non-conformities and Incidents
  • Ensure regional resources conduct Supplier assessments and Supplier process audits on site as required and actions are documented and followed up to ensure closure


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 1 year in the field of Supplier Quality
  • 1+ Years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in wind industry is a plus
  • Working Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO14001 & ISO 45000
  • Background in Mechanical and Electrical components / Hydraulics experience is a plus
  • Supplier Quality background / Subcontractor management experience
  • Experience in APQP (PPAP experience would be a plus)
  • Experience with ISO audits / Lead ISO Auditor Certification would be a plus


  • Ability to influence across organizational boundaries / with strong focus on working with & understanding different cultures
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience working with suppliers and achieving results to meet company schedules
  • Ability to establish targets and translate them into actionable plans
  • Ability to work with people, to lead by influence and by motivating and empowering
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and accept new ideas and changing initiatives
  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time / with average expected to be around 50% / domestic and international / valid passport with ability to get international visas if needed
