The Tools Center is in the process of growing a strong team in the support of tooling for the construction sites in the installation of wind turbines in North, Central, and South America. This Planner will become part of a global team, for a world leader in wind energy

Global Construction Management / Global Tools / Tools Region NCSA 
The Tools Center provides construction tools for the installation and servicing of Vestas wind turbines.  These heavy machinery tools provide safe and quality lifting of wind turbine components at the construction sites in North, Central, and South America. These installations sites are at the forefront in providing Vestas' tools to be the world leader in wind energy.  This Planner is the primary role for organizing the development and maintenance of Global Tools NCSA tools forecast and delivery plan for the supply chain.  This is completed through the analysis, development, and management of a plan for existing and new construction sites.  This position requires a strong emphasis on continuously optimizing resources throughout Global Tools NCSA to meet internal and external business goals.



  • Perform SAP business processes
  • Participation in relevant projects.
  • Establish and monitor production schedules, and production activity to ensure internal and external customer requirements are met, including daily data inputs.
  • Ensure adequate quantity and timing of material and product inventory within the supply chain to meet organizational goals.
  • Calculates factors, such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
  • Record and monitor inventory activity. Coordinate audit program to ensure accuracy of automated transactions. Reconcile transfer discrepancies.
  • Document all work procedures and audit activity to ensure ongoing integrity.
  • Confers and assists department to coordinate all production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Improve and direct planning processes in the tools warehouse
  • Implementation of new forecasting and planning methods.
  • Creation of tools purchasing forecast
  • Responsible for master planning of tools demand
  • Responsible for parts level planning: Safety stock creation
  • Responsible for coordinating improvement processes for tools utilization: Rental calculation, performance measurements.
  • Creating input for tools budget creation.
  • Responsible for the investment process, create investment requests, based on budget or approved business cases.


  • Bachelor’s degree is a preference (Business Administration, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent).
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in production planning, inventory management or related industry
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience with SAP or ERP/MRP software for supply chain /inventory management.
  • Professional multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Computer experience (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
  • Knowledge in management tools e.g. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, is a preference.
  • Open-minded and good at sharing/gathering information within a team.
  • Able to cope with change and work under ambiguous circumstances.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software programs
  • Professional social and communication skills, focusing on good teamwork.
  • International experience in a global multicultural environment is a preference.
  • Proven experience in project-oriented work in a make-to-order environment and understanding the importance of project plans and deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Impeccable methodology and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Ability to work with limited to no supervision as well as in a team environment
  • Professional communication skills in English both written and orally, Bi-lingual in Spanish a preference.


Target Pay Range:

$50,000 to $62,000 annually
