The sales department is the harbour for all sales activities around wind turbines in North and West Europe

As our new Sales Manager you will be responsible to promote sales and business development across Germany, together with a team of highly motivated Sales Managers based in different locations throughout Europe

 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic sales management - build and grow sales pipeline as part of the sales team

  • Leadership throughout the sales cycle: prospects identification, tendering, deal optimization, to negotiation and closure of wind farm supply contracts

  • Ensure targets for revenue, margins, and customer satisfaction are met

  • Build solid customer relationships, establish trust, and understanding the customers´ business case to develop completed value propositions

  • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration within a matrix organization and across group functions

  • Gathering knowledge such as competitor activity, support systems for wind energy and customers international activities

  • Handle internal and external stakeholders

  • Contribute to the development of Vestas' commercial strategy

 

Qualifications

  • Educational background, a Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or any other relatable field combined with a Masters

  • Solid experience in Sales, Commercial Sales and / or Business Development, ideally with proven history in the renewable energy or other project sector

  • Fluent German and English is mandatory

 

Competancies

  •  Demonstrate the ability to effectively deliver results under complex conditions

  • Solid communication skills and the ability to challange when needed

  • Contract negotiation experience with complex technical contracts

  • Ability to influence internal stakeholders and work effectively in a matrix organization

  • Solid financial understanding and investigative capabilities

  • Ability to work under time sensitive environments and willingness to go the "extra mile"
