The headquarters of the Sales Business Unit (SBU) Vestas North & Central Europe is located in Hamburg, Germany. The business unit is responsible for the sales and marketing of wind power systems as well as for the installation and servicing of wind power plants in the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Germany, Benelux, Austria, Russia, Eastern Europe and parts of sub-Saharan Africa.

Customer Service Management is part of Service Germany responsible for the complete customer experience during the duration of the service contract of a wind park.

Responsibilities

This position is to lead a young and growing Customer Service Management team responsible for providing customer communication, ensuring execution of contracts, pro-actively managing the customer relationship and identifying after sales opportunities. The team is located in Berlin and Gotha and is mainly responsible for the service customers in the East and the South of Germany.

  • To grow and lead a high-performing team securing world-class customer service and relationship, leading to increased customer satisfaction and renewal of service contracts
  • To work together and communicate effectively cross-functionally to optimise interfaces, processes and customer interactions
  • To drive commercial optimisation of customer contract portfolio i.e. financial and technical performance
  • Own the contract by making sure that Vestas delivers according to the scope of the contract
  • Own, manage and record all customer issues in a systematic way, using available tools and drive risk mitigation in claim management
  • Be part of relevant Key Account cross functional team as necessary; Evaluate opportunities and generate After-Sales leads
  • Support the planning of marketing activities as well as participating in customer events such as fairs and forums.

Qualifications

  • University degree in engineering/ industrial engineering, business management or similar
  • At least several years of experience preferably gained in a complex customer-facing position for example in customer service, sales, project management or contract management
  • Ideally experience with energy market or with an industrial OEM
  • Experience from a service business an advantage
  • Need to have familiarity with complex technical machinery, plant, processes or systems

Competencies

  • Good business sense and good economical understanding of contracts
  • Track-record in driving customer satisfaction
  • Several years of experience with people management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English

Additional Information

Primary work location is Berlin in Germany.

Travel activity expected to be around 20 % - 30 %.
