Join us as an Installation Project Manager and take ownership of the full installation phase for onshore wind projects across Northern & Central Europe. You’ll lead planning, coordination, and on‑site alignment to ensure the installation phase is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you’ll drive operational excellence, optimise processes, and support continuous improvement throughout the installation workflow.

The department is an integral part of the Installation Project Management team within CPX NCE, responsible for driving operational excellence across onshore installation projects. The role ensures that project teams are equipped to meet both the commercial and technical targets agreed with customers while strengthening process efficiency, supporting continuous improvement, and enabling successful project execution.
Working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders across CPX, Installation & Commissioning (I&C), and Performance Management, the specialist identifies improvement opportunities, implements effective solutions, and ensures their long‑term impact is measured and sustained. By promoting structured learning, operational discipline, and strong collaboration, the team significantly contributes to elevating performance across customer projects in Northern & Central Europe.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective project planning and control using standardized workflow packages and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Implement and adhere to Vestas management systems, including the Construction Project Execution Manual, as well as HSE and Quality standards
- Support the optimization of project schedules, deliverables, and overall execution efficiency
- Drive the rollout and implementation of newly developed installation concepts
- Provide support to internal stakeholders and coordinate resource planning in line with contractual requirements
- Continuously monitor project progress, budget, risks, and performance, ensuring timely and high‑quality reporting and documentation
- Support the Engineering Change Request (ECR) Board and contribute to structured change management processes
Qualifications
- Project management or civil engineering degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of crane operations, site activities, and associated procedures
- Experience in vessel operations and vessel management
- Solid knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements and best practices
- Background in quality assurance and adherence to standards
- Experience with contractual negotiations and understanding of contract terms
- Strong financial awareness, process understanding, and proficient IT skills (MS Office, SAP), with fluency in English and German

Additional Information
The preferred candidate will ideally be based in southern Germany or Austria.
This role requires a regular on‑site / in office presence (min 3 days per week).
This role involves regular travel of up to 100 days per year, typically averaging weekly trips of 1–2 days to various sites.
