Working as part of a friendly regional team – North and Central Europe (NCE), as an IT Supporter you will support users working in both offices and production facilities across a cluster of sites. You will provide support for our end users as well as daily maintenance of the IT equipment. On request, you will also be supporting town hall meetings, building and infrastructure projects.
Through your engagement with local stakeholders, you will take pride in ensuring that the site is maintained and is up to Vestas standards, collaborating closely with your colleagues in the team as well as the rest of the IT organization in order to fulfil this.
 
Responsibilities

At a cluster of sites, you will be the responsible Field Supporter for:  

  • Handling of stock, swap stocks for PC, tablets, mobile phones and taking care of any reuse possibility.
  • Meeting rooms, printers, patching.
  • Creating and maintaining site-specific documentation.
  • Ensuring that sites are set up and maintained according to Vestas Global standards.

 
Qualifications

  • You will have completed a basic course in the IT supporter education.
  • Experience in using Windows client.
  • Working with imaging PC, troubleshooting and other hardware related task.
  • Working with network equipment, network patching and RJ45 and wireless access point.
  • Knowledge of how to work with IT in a production environment and knowledge of documenting work in a ticket system (ServiceNow), with an understanding of an SLA impact on the ticket.
  • Experience working in the global standard corporate client infrastructure environment.
  • Understand what is required to work within a standardized centralized infrastructure regarding configuration/applications and keeping documentation maintained.
  • Good written and communications skills in both German and English. 
     

Competencies

  • You must be team-oriented, with the ability to work alone using initiative, yet know how to combine this with the need for pro-/reactive support.
  • You should be service-minded, good at establishing relationships with your local stakeholders as well as your stakeholders in the IT organization.
  • You should be good at communicating solutions to the end-users, IT architects, project managers, end users in production as well as on the management level.
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision, taking responsibility for operational and support tasks and being committed to the projects you are involved with.
  • Knowledge of ITIL.

  • This role is based in Berlin, Germany.
  • You can expect up to 30 days of travel per year.
