Vestas Technology & Operations> Procurement> Direct Material Nacelle APAC NEA

Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, local content supplier development, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management

 

Responsibility

 

  • Coordinate the containership project globally in procurement relating areas like commodity strategy making and execution by working closely with key stakeholders, supplier base build up, commercial negotiations continuous cost out, supplier footprint set up etc
  • Continuous cost out and price negotiations.
  • Overall responsible for supplier development, performance and relationship management (SRM), cost management,  supply chain risk management which are relevant to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
  • Coordinate the business review meetings and supplier account plan with suppliers
  • Improve the KPIs: EBIT, continuous cost out initiatives technically and commercially through the whole value chain, PPV etc
  •  

Qualifications

 

  • In-depth knowledge and exposure to strategic procurement or a degree in either business or engineering
  • Proven record of significant stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication on executive level
  • Professional communication skills including fluent English skills

 

Competencies

  • Well capable of doing price/cost breakdown analysis and facilitate cost out initiatives with cross functional team
  • In depth knowledge of raw material like steel plate & machining process and cost. Experience with welding structure is advantageous.
  • Result oriented, data and facts oriented, strategic and logic thinking but also can think out of box
  • Aprofessional and trusted partner with accountability, collaboration and transparency
  • Has the ability to understand the whole value chain from the upstream RM to the manufacturing process and the fundamentals of the Vestas business model and then develop the business and partnership accordingly
  • Demonstrated ability to explore and develop long-term business / functional perspective and strategy. Develop direct negotiations/develop negotiation strategies
  • Influence others to accomplish an objective and directs others in a way that makes both the process and the purpose more cohesive and coherent. have the ability to interact with individuals, groups and target audiences including being able to effectively present, receive and understand information in a respectful and concise manner.
  • Have stakeholder communication skills, as well as the ability to identify and involve business stakeholders and navigate through competing agendas. You know stakeholder needs and expectations, and are able to negotiate solutions but also when needed disagrees and challenge stakeholders respectively.
