Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional commodity teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, commodity strategy development and supplier relationship management.The category for which the purchaser is needed in Towers Team. This area consists of multiple suppliers spread out over the globe with a 2-digit million EUR spend per year.This position is based in Beijing or Tianjin and related to Tower Internals procurements (Anchor cages, Tower Platform, Tower internal fabrication parts ...,) within Tower teams Global Procurement and being part of a global team which consist of employees in Denmark, Tainjin and Chennai.

 

Responsibility

  • Supplier Account Manager (SAM) for defined suppliers- Support defining the Commodity Strategy based on regional analysis and insight
  • Continuously provide the CMT with detailed knowledge about suppliers and supplier market(s) from the geographical area.- Support the CMT with data collection and data analysis (Market analysis, Supplier.Fidentification,Footprint analysis, RfX analysis)- Participate or coordinate negotiations in accordance with the negotiation process.
  • Responsible for selection, qualification, negotiation, contracting and integration of new suppliers to the extend agreed with the Purchasing Manager
  • Mandated and obliged to agree/accept the Commodity Strategy on behalf of the region, and obligated to implement it accordingly in the region (at supplier level)
  • Supplier Relationship: Establish and develop partnership with selected suppliers in order to gain competitive advantage for Vestas including KPI's
  • Support the introduction of new parts with suppliers
  • Responsible and accountable for maintenance of master data (at Supplier level)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or business studies, and master degree will be plus
  • You have minimum 6 to 8 years of strategic purchase experience
  • You are a good communicator who are experienced in negotiating contracts on a high professional level in an industrial company
  • Expect High standards to follow business code of conduct and ethical practice
  • Proficient in both oral and written English
  • Experienced in using SAP and Microsoft Office
