Vestas Procurement department is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including organizing cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
Responsibilities
You will join a high-profiled position with a broad strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterized by a busy schedule and requirement to engage in and prioritize between multiple critical projects.
Manage contract and prices negotiations with your suppliers in adherence to the corporate processes and standards, aiming at fulfilling all price, delivery, quality, and sustainability targets to gain competitive advantages for Vestas
Define, align and implement the commodity strategy in APAC with a holistic view and ensure that an effective matrix organization can meet current and future business needs in alignment with Global Procurement
Deliver required inputs into Vestas' processes and key projects, e.g. new product introduction, new supplier introductions. Build a close relationship with the key suppliers in the category and continue delivering value through high-quality supplier account management
Ensure advanced Sourcing techniques with an end-to-end perspective of the value chain to support both top- and bottom-line growth
Build supply market intelligence to inform and advice the team and management about important trends in the market and exploit these for the benefits of the Vestas business. Build an efficient network within Vestas, including close engagement with colleagues from Technology, Operations, Finance, and Quality, enabling you to affect, collaborate and partner with business leaders to secure results for Vestas
Further, provide strategic stakeholder management, including executive management level stakeholders and participate in the Construction team, aiming for excellence with your colleagues across the globe
Qualification
As a Purchasing Manager, you are expected to be a great example in following procedures but as well to evaluate the organization in our ways of working seeking continuous improvement. The right candidate for this role will have/be:
Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic procurement, combined with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, or alike
Extensive experience with commodity management and sourcing strategy development in an industrial and international environment. Experience in construction.
Great stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders on all levels of seniority
Great written, verbal and listening skills, to communicate - negotiate - influence effectively, as well as to advise executive management level
Proficient knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel is essential
Fluent in English, both verbal and written
Experience working across different cultures and regions
