EVP MED / SBU MED Service / Area Site Management Nord Picardie

The Service department, in charge of preventive and curative maintenance of Vestas wind turbines installed in France, is looking for an Area Supervisor to head up a maintenance center to supervise teams of maintenance technicians in the regions in order to guarantee the performance of our turbines.  

 

Responsibilities  

You will be responsible for one of the 17 regional operational maintenance centers and will:  

  • Ensure implementation and compliance with all Vestas procedures, policies, etc. and QSE requirements in the area of responsibility including verification of safety documents (risk analysis, prevention plan) 
  • Organise and supervise the regional maintenance center teams, ensuring the quality of the performed work
  • Ensure that the staff follow the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, according to the master planning, including on-site subcontractors 
  • Create the cost plan and ensure its follow-up in the maintenance center. Ensure that the budget for operations per site is respected  
  • Organise the maintenance center in such a way as to deliver the expected performance for the maintenance contracts and, in this context, ensure the day-to-day operational relationship with the customers 
  • Manage the HR topics of the staff: recruitment, training, raises, annual interviews, retention, disciplinary measures and establish a development plan for the team 
  • Deliver accurate reporting with supporting documentation 
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Service France sub-departments according to their respective roles and responsibilities
  • Plan the growth of the maintenance center (staff, facilities, vehicles) 

 

Qualifications

  • Technical training in engineering or 2 / 3 years of higher education with experience.  
  • Significant experience in an industrial or electrical maintenance team management 
  • Good level in English (written and oral - minimum level B1 of the European reference framework).  

 

Competencies  

  • Ability to interpret and explain maintenance contracts, team management.  
  • Good communication and management skills, in line with the customer service culture.  
  • Leadership skills for effective communication.  
  • Flexibility, availability, good organizational skills.
