In the Service department, our focus is to provide our clients with high quality and best possible production of their wind power plants. With our long standing excellent track record and service experience globally, we work to ensure that we manage our clients' plants effectively to get the most out of each turbines while upholding to our commitment to safety standards

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership that achieves a highly aligned, engaged and motivated site team that produces high-level results against Key Performance Indicators and Operational Objectives. 
  • Establish and maintain highly effective relationships with customers and internal partners
  • Implement and manage all safety practices and protocols within Vestas' organisational standards to ensure compliance and optimal safety results with a team that demonstrates safe behaviors. 
  • Achieves a culture of excellence (safety focus, structure, work discipline) and continuous improvement with the site organization to advance capability and performance in all operational areas. 
  • Responsible for the site budget, cost center management, and operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for customer account management and service contract compliance.
  • Manage of OH&S & ERP activates on site and assure the site is in compliant with local and vestas guidelines, site inductions, take corrective actions on external audits and incidents, update safety documents held on site
  • Manage daily operations, Manage Costs and Coding of Credit Card Transactions, approve PR/PO's, Order & staff equipment, Office Supplies, assist with Site Safety Reporting, Training and ordering of supplies, Fleet Truck Maintenance Logs, set up of Turbine Folders and Filing & Document Control, Create and monitor purchase orders/requests, defective parts return and scrap requests; support, shipping & receiving and accounting functions pertaining to parts/materials/tools. 
  • Manage Inventory and Tools for sites which includes two full year inventory counts & one tool count per site, assist in forecasting inventory needs to proactively ensures necessary parts are available, Setting of Safety Stock and Maintaining System Software for Inventory Control, Shipping & Receiving of all parts/materials/tools, 
  • Assist with Down Turbines, Manage Serial Numbers for site & Serial number change request, Consume/Return to stock parts. Monthly Reports, assist with Budget, assist with quoting supplies, Maintain misc. stock items (pigmat, rag's, paint pens, etc.) 
  • Drive LEAN processes in the warehouse to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Must be willing to operate and maintain inventory-moving equipment, training provided. 

 

Qualification

  • Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Passport.
  • Strong attention to detail and execution excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Able to effectively collaborate with employees at all professional levels, performs as a champion for change management initiatives and ability to respectfully follow supervision.
  • Excellent computer operation skills, familiarity with internet based program navigation, and ability to generate and interpret computer data.

 

Competencies
•    Ability to read, comprehend and write in English.
•    Ability to successfully participate in all training courses
•    Ability to hear and use close range radios.
•    Strong field of vision including visual depth perception and ability to distinguish colors.   
•    Comfort working remotely with limited supervisory interaction.
