Purpose and reason for the existence of the job

With offices in Arnhem (NL) and Houthalen (BE), every day our 250 Vestas Benelux employees work to create a better world by installing, developing, and servicing onshore wind energy and hybrid projects.

 

The Customer Service Management department is responsible for the commercial contact with our customers that operate Vestas windfarms. We are the point of contact for the customers regarding the different Service contracts in their portfolio, in terms of service execution and commercial obligations but also focusing on partnership and commercial growth.

 

In this way we act as an interface between the external and internal stakeholders. We support the regional operational service teams in their efforts to maintain and optimize the wind energy production based on Service contract agreements.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The position of Customer Engineer reports directly to the Manager Customer Service Management, working in a team of Customer Relationship Managers, Customer service Professionals and Customer Service Coordinators. Your scope of work and responsibilities will be:

• Provide first-line technical support to the CSM Team

• Support the CSM Team in resolving complex technical issues for service customers

• Be the interface between customers and Technical Support Department to communicate technical problems and their resolution for complex issues

• Build-up an efficient network among stakeholders to maintain a good level of interaction and quick response time for the technical inquiries within the company to efficiently overcome natural limitations and inertia of global corporation

• Own, monitor and record all taken over issues in relevant systems (SAP, C4C) for record and easy access for any stakeholders

• Provide first line processing of Safety Alerts to facilitate Customer Managers with filtration of external receivers or report insufficient SA quality

• Maintain good relationships with customers and their representatives during meetings, and teleconferences.

• Provide the internal organization with constructive feedback on potential new solutions to prevent technical issues from recurring.

• Identify ways of improving current processes to enhance customer experience.

• Pro-actively follow up critical cases and provide feedback to internal stakeholders

 

Qualifications

• Consideration is given to Bachelor level technical education (Mechanical, Electrical, ...) coupled with relevant professional experience

• Technical knowledge and understanding of wind turbines

• Good skills in office administration.

• Fluent English, Dutch preferred, other language skills are an asset
